What am I working now?

Right now I'm working on a comparative project in which three different front-ends utilize a single API. I plan to create the front-ends as identically as possible in Angular.js, React.js, and Vue.js in order to examine their weaknesses and advantages through direct comparison.

I hope this will improve my own skills with these framworks as well as give me the perspective to write an article that will help other developers delving into javascript frameworks. I would also like to be able to provide my api as a tool for others to practice building their own front-ends with fewer barriers.

Covid Shopping Risk

The Covid Shopping Risk project is a Web App designed to assist shoppers in building their schedule around their own health and safety. The idea is that the user would search for a shopping location and be provided a time table estimating risk of exposure based on store population density throughout the day from Google analytics and the Covid-19 data for that area.

This project was created for the 2020 IBM Call for Code to address the Covid-19 pandemic. It was developed by myself and my team from Cognizant and ranked in our company's Top 20 Submissions. A significant portion of the functionality of this project was integrated into and built upon in successive projects which were presented to clients.

St. Andrew UMC Preschool

This project is a redesign concept for St. Andrew UMC Preschool's website. My focus was to modernize the UI while retaining the existing content. Part of the modernization process was creating a great mobile experience with responsive elements. I also updated graphics, touched up existing photos, and, with permission, went on site and took additional photographs to better reflect the school's improvements.

Hi, I'm Nadine

I'm a fullstack developer with a strong base in Java and a special interest in front-end design. My coding education comes from hands-on Fullstack Web Development and Java bootcamps provided through Georgia Tech. Because of this, I cope well with deadlines and a fast-paced agile environment. I also have a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Georgia with an emphasis in product development and design. I have found that this lends well to front-end design and proof of concept development especially.

Most recently I have been working on Client projects with Cognizant as a contractor. My most recent project was with a Fortune 500 company. Due to complications in the market caused by Covid-19, I am currently looking for another fulltime position.
